Bridging the Gap Community Services Inc was founded by Jean Clayton in 2005. Jean has worked in Community Service for much of her life and through the course of her journey, found there was little to help support men in our region.
Jean started the Men's Resource Centre as a way of bridging the gap between women's and men's service, in the hope that providing a safe place where men could gather and talk, receive counselling and programs specifically designed to address their issues, would make an impact for all the family, by helping men become healthier and happier and therefore impact their own lives and the lives of those around them.
Jean has been successfully engaged in this process of helping men in our community for over 15 years. Jean has worked tirelessly unfunded and unpaid out of a passion to serve the community and to serve her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jodie came on board as a volunteer after hearing about the amazing work that Jean and her team had accomplished in the Community in the past 15 years. She is now the Executive Officer working beside Jean to not only facilitate the operation of the Men’s Resource Centre, but to expand the operation to reach the vision that Jean had in 2005 to be an extensive and valuable service to the whole community. With a background in health and therapeutic care, Jodie's vision and insight has already helped raise the profile of this well established community service provider.
